The Furniture By Perry team recently finished installation at the UMHB Marek-Smith Center! They were excited to work alongside Dr. Kris Ward, Professor & Director at the Marek-Smith Center, and PBK Architects to provide furnishings for the offices, waiting rooms, academic rooms, classrooms, computer lab, as well as individual pieces of furniture for several other spaces. UMHB is the only known university in the country with a special needs lab where undergraduate education majors work directly with children with disabilities, and the recently constructed Marek-Smith Center will lead the way for training and educating all teachers who instruct students with disabilities in the general and special education classrooms. With cutting-edge technology, resources, equipment, and tools, the 11,000-square-foot facility offers spaces such as an immersion room, a multisensory room, a high-impact zone, a STEM lab, an outdoor exploration zone, and more!
