Vet Tech Appreciation Week is celebrated every October, and we couldn’t miss the chance to recognize our amazing PetIQ veterinary technicians and staff at our Community Clinics. They go above and beyond every day to keep pets healthy and happy, giving pet parents peace of mind. 🧡 🐾 🐕 🐈 This year, we’re excited to highlight one of our vet tech superstars, Caroline, who leads our Community Clinic team in Alameda, California. What inspired you to become a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)? ⭐ Caroline: I absolutely love animals of all kinds. I’ve been in the field for over 20 years, working in kennels, fostering for rescues, nursing at full-service and specialty clinics, managing a veterinary pharmacy, and more. About a year ago, I finally had the confidence to put my experience toward earning my license and became a Registered Veterinary Technician. How do you feel PetIQ's Community Clinics help improve access to veterinary care? ⭐ Caroline: Our Community Clinics are a fantastic way to bridge the gap in access to veterinary care. They fill a much-needed void in preventative medicine. I’m also incredibly proud of my team, who keeps everything running smoothly, no matter what challenges we face. What advice would you give to aspiring vet techs interested in preventative care or leadership roles? ⭐ Caroline: My best advice is to have the confidence to pursue your goals. Keep learning, keep growing, and push yourself to achieve what you want—and beyond! 📸: Caroline, Sara, Adrian 📍: Alameda, California

This month, PetIQ was honored to support and participate in a special project led by a student named Peter, who lives in Tampa, Florida. When we learned that Peter's Eagle Scout project was to collect items to build Puppy Rescue Packs for adoptable dogs at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, we couldn't resist. In his own words, Peter's goal was, "...to do something special to help dogs that are hard to adopt from shelters, mostly because of age, health issues or breed. I am trying to get everything a new dog owner might need in a kit to make it easy for them to say yes to these dogs." 🧡 🐾 Our team loved Peter's idea and assembled a bunch of items for the rescue packs, including Minties dental treats, Rocco & Roxie shampoo, jerky treats, and Stain & Odor spray, stuffed animals, food scoops, and NextStar flea & tick preventative. 🦴🧴⚕️ Last weekend, Peter and his Eagle Scout buddies assembled the items into dozens of Puppy Rescue Packs at the Humane Society, helping to make sure future pet parents have everything they need for their new family members. 🐶 🐕 🐩 Congratulations, Peter! We are so proud of you! 👏 🎉 Read more about Peter's project in this great WFLA-TV News Channel 8 / WTTA-TV The CW Tampa Bay story: https://lnkd.in/eYKUiDhS

PetIQ is keeping all those in the path of Hurricane Milton in our thoughts, as well as thinking of all those still recovering from Hurricane Helene. Pets are part of our families and it’s critical that pet parents have an emergency plan that covers all pet needs and essentials as well. Here are some tips from The Humane Society of the United States to help prepare your pets for everything from natural disasters to everyday emergencies. ❤️🐾 https://lnkd.in/eqgbHGY

PetIQ was once again honored to sponsor and attend the Nebraska Humane Society's annual Margre Durham Walk & Dog Fest in Omaha last weekend! 🐕 🐩 We loved meeting and talking to hundreds of pet parents about the importance of preventative pet care, but, of course, our favorite part of the day was handing Minties dental treats out to all the good pups that came by to visit 💚 🐾 Congratulations to the Humane Society on another successful event supporting pet welfare and adoption in the state of Nebraska 👏
