Vet Tech Appreciation Week is celebrated every October, and we couldn’t miss the chance to recognize our amazing PetIQ veterinary technicians and staff at our Community Clinics. They go above and beyond every day to keep pets healthy and happy, giving pet parents peace of mind. 🧡 🐾 🐕 🐈
This year, we’re excited to highlight one of our vet tech superstars, Caroline, who leads our Community Clinic team in Alameda, California.
What inspired you to become a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)?
⭐ Caroline: I absolutely love animals of all kinds. I’ve been in the field for over 20 years, working in kennels, fostering for rescues, nursing at full-service and specialty clinics, managing a veterinary pharmacy, and more. About a year ago, I finally had the confidence to put my experience toward earning my license and became a Registered Veterinary Technician.
How do you feel PetIQ's Community Clinics help improve access to veterinary care?
⭐ Caroline: Our Community Clinics are a fantastic way to bridge the gap in access to veterinary care. They fill a much-needed void in preventative medicine. I’m also incredibly proud of my team, who keeps everything running smoothly, no matter what challenges we face.
What advice would you give to aspiring vet techs interested in preventative care or leadership roles?
⭐ Caroline: My best advice is to have the confidence to pursue your goals. Keep learning, keep growing, and push yourself to achieve what you want—and beyond!
