 ✨ Pharmista Technologies, det första företaget som fått investering från Mau Holding, Malmö universitets holdingbolag, och som nu deltar i BioInnovation Institute Venture Lab-program i Köpenhamn, utvecklar ett återanvändbart graviditetstest för hemmabruk. Målet är inställt på att utveckla en banbrytande metod inom snabbdiagnostik, med fokus på hållbarhet och kvinnors hälsa. – Vi arbetar med att påvisa träffsäkerheten hos sensorn, optimera förutsättningarna för återanvändbarhet samt visa på att tekniken fungerar i sin helhet. Teamet testar bland annat olika elektrokemiska metoder och kompositioner av polymerer. During the last 5 months, we have been collaborating on another project with TU Delft | Industrial Design Engineering around improving the design and functionality of our product with guidance from Stefan Persaud and Bhavika Dhar Today the final presentation was held and we are beyond happy about the result and features that the students have come up with! We hare happy to announce that the European Patent Office has validated our patent as a Unitary Patent, which protects our intellectual property in 17 EU member states and in the United Kingdom 🇪🇺 🇬🇧 “The Unitary Patent provides us with a high level of protection for our invention. The reusable device is being developed in the first instance, to provide a high-quality alternative to non userfriendly single-use pregnancy tests. What an opportunity to take their innovation for women's health to the next level! 💪 Pharmista, a 2023 XTC Global Finalist at the Life Sciences Startup Competition at TechBBQ, is developing a reusable pregnancy test. This is a hygienic, affordable and sustainable solution for a market that hasn't been reinvented in over 40 years. 🚀 Venture Lab is an accelerator program for early-stage companies, run by life science research non-profit, BioInnovation Institute (BII). The 12-month program is designed to support startups with business acceleration, scientific advancement and team development. 🧪 Not only does Pharmista get support to grow, they also get access to lab space at the BII in #copenhagen, plus an opportunity to apply for more than €1M in follow-up funding. Life science-företaget Pharmista Technologies får fyra miljoner danska kronor för att kunna ta fram en prototyp av ett graviditetstest som kommer att kunna användas flera gånger. Bolaget var det första som Malmö universitets holdingbolag Mau Holding investerade i. Pharmista Technologies ingår sedan tidigare som ett av företagen i SmiLes inkubator , en lundabaserad icke vinstdrivande inkubator för nystartade företag inom Life science. Nu har Pharmista också antagits till BioInnovation Institutes (BII) Venture Lab program i Köpenhamn. Detta ettåriga program stödjer företag på ett tidigt stadium när det gäller affärsutveckling, vetenskapliga framsteg och teamutveckling. Målet är att vid slutet av programmet ha en prototyp för ett graviditetstest som kan återanvändas minst tio gånger, med hög träffsäkerhet. — Baserat på de tekniska framstegen vi förväntas göra under året är planen att sedan ta in ytterligare finansiering för att ta produkten hela vägen till marknaden. Vi kommer även titta på vilken produkt vi vill utveckla härnäst och hur vi på bästa sätt nyttjar potentialen i vår patenterade plattformsteknologi, säger Alice Mattsson Pharmistas VD, som grundade bolaget när hon läste masterprogrammet Leadership for Sustainability vid Malmö universitet. — Alice är en mycket driven entreprenör och brinner för sin idé som både stödjer kvinnor och har ett hållbarhetsperspektiv. En mycket bra kombination, var vår bedömning från holdingbolaget, som vi ville investera i. Bii:s inkubatorprogram kommer vara viktigt för Pharmistas fortsatta resa, både vad gäller nya nätverk och den kvalitetsstämpel som bolaget får genom antagningen i konkurrens till ett prestigefullt program, säger Charlotte Ahlgren Moritz, vicerektor vid Malmö universitet och styrelseordförande i Mau Holding.
