We have a goal– to bring science to life 💭 Yesterday we held the Grand Opening of our new domicile in the heart of Copenhagen. It was a joyous and inspiring day, allowing us to truly feel that the 250 participants share our dream to translate more groundbreaking research into life-changing innovation for the benefit of human health, planetary health and societal resilience. This building sets the stage for an ambitious new era, where we scale our activities in alignment with our strategic vision. We want to thank the architects, Tegnestuen Kontekst, for designing a building that embodies our vision, creating an open environment that invites collaboration and the sharing of knowledge and ideas as well as meeting the advanced technical and operational needs of our start-ups and projects. One of the building’s defining features is the atrium that stretches across our four floors creating an open and collaborative environment and naturally drawing one’s eyes towards the sky. So, when people enter our new home, they are reminded that the sky is the limit for what can be achieved at BII. With the official inauguration of our new domicile we look forward to welcoming many more startups and help them bring science to life.🚀 Jens Nielsen Marianne Philip Ministry of Higher Education and Science Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs Danish Centre for AI Innovation (DCAI) Novo Nordisk Foundation DTU - Technical University of Denmark Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen Aalborg University Aarhus University Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark

Today marks a new chapter in the history of BII🏢 Since BII was established in December 2017, we have supported more than one hundred start-ups that are tirelessly working to improve human health, planetary health and societal resilience for the benefit of society. Today we officially inaugurate our domicile here in Copenhagen, and the new building is yet another milestone for BII. Our new domicile is more than just a workspace – it's a vibrant hub where entrepreneurs, researchers, and experts can come together to exchange ideas, build networks, and push the boundaries of what is possible. The building serves as a physical frame for the visions to create a vibrant innovation hub in the heart of Copenhagen. But BII is just one actor in the innovation ecosystem, and only by collaborating with others can we solve the grand challenges of today and tomorrow. Thus, to celebrate the Grand Opening of our domicile, we have invited our many valued stakeholders and collaborators who stand with us on our mission to bring science to life. Celebrating graduates and new Venture House companies!🎉 We are excited to announce the four former Venture Lab start-ups that have made it into our Venture House Program! Congratulations to PreTT, oasicare, Cambiotics, and Alea Quantum Technologies, who will make up our sixth Venture House cohort. We are also glad to celebrate the graduating start-ups Agrobiomics, FimmCyte, HHC medical, Matr Foods, SOLID Therapeutics, and TriptoBIO, who have completed the program. The Venture House program is a follow-on funding- and support opportunity for start-ups that have already participated in our Venture Lab program. It aims to support product innovation and ecosystem growth through four executive sprints; each focused on a key development area to help mature the project and attract further funding.💸 CBO of BII Trine Bartholdy says: “The four companies align with BII’s mission to bring science to life by enabling ambitious and visionary founders to develop new solutions for the benefit of human health, planetary health, and societal resilience. So, we are proud to extend our support to these companies in the Venture House program with increased financial support and a tailored program to bring them closer to receiving external investment and commercializing their products and technologies.” Reflecting on the graduating cohort, Trine continues, “Their progress over the past 18 months has been remarkable. While it’s always bittersweet to see them move on, we look forward to following their continued journey.”🚀
