Exciting news! We received a $75,000 grant from the Foxwynd Foundation, supporting our Philabundance Food Fund — an initiative focused on providing fresh, nutritious, and culturally responsive food to those facing food insecurity. This funding helps expand our ability to source high-quality fruits, vegetables, and proteins, aligning with our Good Food Policy to ensure equitable food access for all. We’re deeply grateful to the Foxwynd Foundation for recognizing the importance of dignified, sustainable hunger relief efforts. Together, we’re empowering communities with the food they need to thrive. Click here to view the press release: https://ow.ly/fpBp50Vkc45

About us
Philabundance seeks to drive hunger from our communities today and end hunger forever. It serves approximately 90,000 people per week, a third of whom are children and 15% of whom are seniors. In 2016, Philabundance distributed approximately 24 million pounds of food through its own neighborhood distribution programs and through a network of 350 member agencies in 9 counties in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Three quarters of a million people in our service area face hunger every day. Their stories are as diverse as the nine counties we serve: working families hit hard by the recession, women, children, seniors trying to make ends meet. The one thing they have in common is being part of a food system that desperately needs additional support. Philabundance was founded in 1984 with the simple belief that no man, woman or child should go hungry. Join us.

Recently we were in D.C. advocating with Feeding Pennsylvania & Feeding America food banks from across the country. Together, we’re urging Congress to protect and strengthen critical federal programs to help people facing hunger keep food on the table — like SNAP and TEFAP. Thank you to Senator Fetterman, Congressman Evans, and Congresswoman Houlahan for your support in the fight to end hunger. Your lawmakers need to hear from you! Take action and tell them these programs matters 👉 bit.ly/protect-programs #FoodBankFlyIn #EndHungerTogether
