Driving and enabling Philadelphia's clean energy economy.
About us
The Philadelphia Energy Authority is an independent municipal authority focused on issues of energy affordability and sustainability for Philadelphia’s government and its citizens. Established in 2010 by City Council and Mayor Nutter, the PEA seeks systemic solutions to our energy challenges, supporting the work of a robust community of energy experts, advocates, and champions citywide. In February 2016 we launched the Philadelphia Energy Campaign, a 10-year initiative to leverage $1 billion in investment in energy efficiency and clean energy across four key sectors: City buildings, the School District of Philadelphia, low-income residential housing and small businesses. Our goal is to create 10,000 jobs, reach 25,000 households and support 2,500 small businesses. Our Vision: Philadelphia will serve as a national model for implementing energy strategies which improve the health of the community and local economy.

New funding opportunities are now live! We are pleased to share that we’ve just released eight Requests for Proposals (RFPs) across our Arts and Culture, Children and Families, and Environment and Public Space programs. Our new process of applying through an RFP is more simple and streamlined, with one common application across all of our programs. We are accepting applications now through October 25 for these eight areas. We’re also offering optional informational webinars covering the details of each RFP next week - full details are on our website. If you have a project that addresses an RFP, we hope you will submit a proposal. Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/eFG5N3kS
