The kids had the opportunity to learn from some of the best in the game, and the impact was truly inspiring. It is impossible to pick our favorite moment from the Legends of Soccer Gala. It could be the Chester Soccer player who boldly stated that he will be playing on the Union pitch as a member of the team in three years. (We’re rooting for you!) Union Captain Alejandro Bedoya is an incredible athlete. He’s also incredibly dedicated to supporting the community and improving lives through soccer. Ale is a two-time MLS Humanitarian of the Year, an advocate against gun violence and works with the Philadelphia Equity Alliance, in addition to supporting our very own HeadFirst program. It is our honor to recognize him with the 2024 Legends of Soccer Leadership in Sports Award. Congratulations Ale!

This year, we had pleasure of honoring Julian Dorsey as the 2024 Legends of Soccer Community Leadership Award winner. He has dedicated his life to bringing soccer to communities in need across Pennsylvania through the JT Dorsey Foundation and is truly making a difference. Congratulations JT!
