In this Pride Month, three historic house museums in the art and design worlds—The Glass House, the Alice Austen House, and the Demuth Museum—are coming together to discuss this process and how telling the full story of their history has been received. The Glass House 75th Anniversary Summer Party on June 8th from 12 to 4 pm Tickets on sale now!

Seventy-five years ago, architect Philip Johnson completed the construction of the Glass House and the Brick House in New Canaan, Connecticut. These two original structures were on the original 5-acre parcel of land that would become an almost 50-acre architectural and artistic landscape. Tickets are on sale for the 75th Anniversary Glass House Summer Party gala on Saturday, June 8! Join us as we unveil the newly restored 1949 Brick House, open to the public for the first time in 16 years. With the generous support of Presenting Sponsor Max Mara Fashion Group, and additional support from Aesop, Design Within Reach, and Land Rover Darien, we invite you to immerse yourself in a day of art and design surrounded by our stunning landscape. Inspired by the ever-changing environment of the Glass House, Ruscha stated that the work references the “reflections and shadows from glass windows and doors." This year’s Summer Party benefit will kick off on Friday, May 24 @ 10am ET with our silent auction hosted by Artsy and will feature a range of artworks in all mediums, design items, unique experiences, and jewelry.
