Phoenix is dedicated to assisting people, primarily those with disabilities, to improve the quality of their lives.

About us

Incorporated and founded in 1973 as The Huntsville Rehabilitation Foundation, Inc., the organization was later rebranded with the dba name of Phoenix. Phoenix is a 501c3 nonprofit, owned and governed by a volunteer board of directors, comprised of several local business leaders, professionals and civic leaders, who all donate their time in order to provide oversight and guidance of Phoenix’s mission and vision. Phoenix’s offices are located at 2939 Johnson Road in a 50,000 square foot facility, originally built in 1986 and having undergone a complete, modernized renovation in 2016. Phoenix has a relationship with the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services (ADRS) to provide comprehensive and continuous programs to assist people with disabilities enter, remain and return to the work environment.

  • Congratulations to Patricia Williams on her promotion to Assistant Supervisor for Zone 2! Patricia has been an integral part of the Phoenix team for 20 years, consistently demonstrating her value to the zone. Her work at our high-priority building on Redstone has been exceptional, ensuring our customers receive excellent service daily. In August 2021, Patricia was promoted to Crew Leader, where she continued to excel in her role. When the opportunity arose for the Assistant Supervisor position, Patricia applied and was recognized as the best candidate for the job. Congratulations, Patricia!

  • We want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Christopher Rozell on his well-deserved promotion to supervisor for Zone 2. Chris began his journey with Phoenix in October 2009, and when the opportunity for an assistant supervisor arose in May 2020, he applied and was selected as the top candidate. He quickly mastered his new responsibilities and became an invaluable asset to both Zone 2 and the Phoenix team. In the past few weeks as acting supervisor, Chris has excelled in ensuring the zone operates smoothly. He seriously approaches his responsibilities and consistently gives 110% to satisfy employees and customers. It is my pleasure to recognize Chris for this achievement, and I look forward to collaborating with him in his new role. Congratulations Chris!
