Thank you to Bill Binch, Battery Ventures, Gregg Scoresby and PHX Ventures for hosting the PHX FWD fireside chat with Jacob F. this week. There is nothing more helpful and inspiring in a start up journey than hearing from someone who has gone before you and succeeded. My favorite story? When Jacob described life while bootstrapping, he said he and his wife did it as a team—including $5 date nights. Love what is being done to grow the innovation world in #phoenix #ittakesateam #venturecapital #growth
Huge thank you to everyone who came out to our Community Event at Culinary Dropout last night! We love bringing founders and operators like you together to network and learn from one another. And thank you to Jacob F. who shared amazing insights during a fireside chat with Gregg Scoresby and Bill Binch on how he started and scaled Fullbay to what it is today. All of this was made possible by our PHX FWD community, Battery Ventures and PHX Ventures. Our next workshop is next week with the one and only Morgan J Ingram! He'll be talking about building an outbound pipeline and closing more deals. Save your seat here: https://lnkd.in/gE_S5UMs We hope to see you there! 🙌 #entrepreneurship #saas #b2b #phoenix

Big thanks to PHX FWD for hosting and to Nate Tingey of Nectar for coming out to speak at Feature Frenzy today! Listening to Nate & Chris speak about managing software product lifecycles made me realize how much it parallels what I see in mortgage sales every day and building software. In both worlds, it’s so easy to fall into the trap of doing too much at once. Whether it’s focusing on building too many features at once or trying too many marketing tactics in sales, spreading yourself too thin often means nothing gets done well. In software, teams can sometimes focus on the big projects, leaving those daily, nagging bugs unresolved. In mortgage sales, I see the same thing—focusing on the big deals while neglecting the smaller, but equally important, tasks that build lasting relationships with clients. The lesson? Listening to your customers, tackling one thing at a time, and being quick to adjust can make all the difference, no matter the industry.
Our FREE workshop Feature Frenzy: The Art of Product Prioritization with Chris Chumley, Operating Partner at PHX Ventures, and Nate Tingey, Head of Product Nectar is happening this Thursday in Tempe!
