We are pleased to share that our previously announced merger with Healthpeak is now completed. The combined company will operate as “Healthpeak Properties, Inc.” and is expected to begin trading under the ticker symbol “DOC” at the open of trading on The New York Stock Exchange on March 4, 2024. “We believe this transaction augments our earnings, balance sheet, and platform. Our integration efforts are progressing ahead of schedule, with property management internalized in four markets to date, with an additional five markets scheduled by the end of the second quarter. We expect to generate merger-related synergies of $40 million during 2024 with potential for $20 million or more of additional synergies by year-end 2025,” said Scott Brinker, President and Chief Executive Officer of Healthpeak. Each year, in recognition of GivingTuesday, we encourage our property management teams to host a charitable event unique to their facilities and communities. Our 2023 theme was “Share a Little, CARE a Lot.” Below is just a sampling of how our incredible team brought that giving spirit to life: Indianapolis, IN: Our Cornerstone Companies, Inc. team, led by Megan Drummond, CPM and Chanelle Mitchell, CPM, organized a coat drive to provide warmth and comfort to those in need over the holidays. Tampa, FL: DOC Property Manager Denise Yettaw led a toy and food drive supporting a local organization called Metropolitan Ministries. Rochester, NY: Our partners at RAP Management, led by Brian Morath, worked with their local Ronald McDonald House Charities to collect needed items for their patients and families over the holidays. York, PA: Cami Miller, CPM and her Sherman Commercial Property Management team facilitated a food drive supporting The Movement, a local food pantry, with Sherman matching the monetary value of donated food with a company contribution. Louisville/Lexington, KY: DOC Property Manager Michelle (Mickey) Semegen, CPM organized a fundraiser to support March of Dimes and the families/babies they serve. Minneapolis, MN: Our Davis Healthcare Real Estate team, led by Peggy Schatz, Alicia Schaeffer, Melissa Gomes, CMCP, and Emily Gruenhagen, worked with Feed My Starving Children to pack over 10,000 meals for children in need in Haiti. Jason Zhou (Precision Building Controls): Jason recently led a large HVAC optimization project at our Baylor Scott & White Health Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center in Dallas, TX, including retro-commissioning the building’s mechanical systems. Jason created project efficiencies to reduce costs, finish more quickly, and generate an estimated 1.4 million kWh annually in energy savings.   ⭐ About the DOCupied Award: Recognizes a team member who goes above and beyond to help fulfill DOC’s leasing goals.
