The results of Flow Neuroscience phase II clinical trial, published in Nature Medicine shows that patients with major depressive disorder can effectively alleviate their symptoms through self-administered electrical brain stimulation at home. The 10-week study involved 174 participants who used a device delivering transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS). Those receiving active stimulation had a remission rate of 44.9%, compared to 21.8% in the control group that received inactive treatment.
