After 39 years at the helm of Don & Joe’s Meats, Don Kuzaro is stepping into a well-earned retirement! Don’s journey at Pike Place Market began as a “clean-up kid.” After serving in the Navy, he returned to the Market and took over the family business in 1986. Under his leadership, Don & Joe’s Meats became a cornerstone of Pike Place Market, known for its top-quality meats and exceptional customer service. Now, Don is passing the cleaver to shop manager and butcher Ben Frey, ensuring the legacy continues. Join us in congratulating Don on his retirement and thanking him for his decades of dedication! His last day behind the counter is Saturday, March 1.
