Pinehurst Medical Clinic is expanding access to PMC patients needing convenient, same-day care with the addition of Kate McBride, and is excited to welcome her to the team at PMC Walk-In Clinic – Southern Pines. PMC's Walk-In Clinic location at 200 Pavilion Way, Southern Pines, NC, is one of two walk-in clinic locations available to PMC patients. Kate attended Gannon University in Erie, PA, where she earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences. Becoming a Physician Assistant was personal for Kate, as she struggled with a medical illness as a child. During this time as a child, she was introduced to individuals in healthcare who showed her a career opportunity where she could help others and one day be able to pay forward the care she was given. Kate strives to provide the best care to patients, utilizing evidence-based and safe interventions. She states, "I believe in letting the body heal itself when possible, as it can perform amazing feats.” Outside of work, Kate is a hobbyist woodworker and enjoys spending time with her husband and their daughter in her wood shop. Pinehurst Medical Clinic (PMC) is excited to announce the addition of Dr. Maria V. Casaine Rodriguez, a highly skilled and compassionate primary care physician, to the team. Dr. Casaine Rodriguez will join the team at PMC Primary Care – Heather Glen. Dr. Casaine Rodriguez completed her medical degree at the University of Medicine and Health Sciences, St Kitts and Nevis and graduated with the highest honors. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from the University of Puerto Rico in Bayamon, PR. With over 8 years of experience, she has developed a care philosophy that centers on truly listening to patients. “I believe understanding their concerns, needs, and experiences is essential to providing the best care because sometimes all it takes is to simply listen”, states Dr. Casaine Rodriguez. “By practicing this care philosophy, I aim to ensure that each patient feels heard, valued, and involved in their care journey.” Dr. Casaine Rodriguez chose to join PMC as she said the organization proved to be the ideal place to practice medicine. She says, “I’m very excited to become part of a team that values collaboration and respect all while providing the best care to the Pinehurst community.” Outside work, she enjoys planning reunions for friends and family, going on walks with her dog, and diving into the occasional romance novel and hosting movie nights. Pelletier, PA-C, RD, CSSD, CSCS, to the team at PMC Walk-In Clinic – Southern Pines to further its accessibility to PMC patients needing convenient, same-day care. PMC Walk-In Clinic in Southern Pines is one of two Walk-In Clinic locations for PMC and is located at 200 Pavilion Way, Southern Pines, NC. Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Missouri State University in Springfield, MO, and her pursuit of knowledge led her to Saint Louis University in St. Louis, MO, where she earned a Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics with a concentration in Nutrition and Physical Performance. Her commitment to patient care continued as she furthered her education at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC, where she earned a Master of Health Sciences in Physician Assistant Studies. Before obtaining her master’s in physician assistant studies, Jennifer served patients as a Registered Dietitian, and her experience as a Registered Dietitian shaped her care philosophy. Jennifer states she has developed a care philosophy that involves a combination of lifestyle interventions and medical management as necessary to find a solution to the illness or injury at hand. She says, " I also find it very important to collaborate with my patients regarding their treatment in order to see actionable results." Jennifer says she looks forward to joining the PMC team because the healthcare organization is committed to quality patient-centered care, excellence, compassion, and innovation in a community near and dear to her heart. She is originally from southern Illinois but has lived in Southern Pines for over six years and says it now feels like home. Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband, their two boys, and their Bernese Mountain dog, exploring all the wonderful trails and playgrounds in the area with a coffee in hand. She also enjoys trail races, cooking, and travelling with family.
