ABOUT Pioneer Human Services is a nonprofit social enterprise that has been serving people involved in the legal system in Washington state since 1963. By giving justice-involved individuals a place to live, access to behavioral health care and stable employment, we seek to reduce and make life-changing impacts on the deep social problems that often stem from a lack of opportunity. Moreover, their improved quality of life has a ripple effect that impacts their family, friends, neighbors and the broader community. Today, we have over 35 programs across Washington state that provide counseling and treatment, diversion services, affordable housing and job-readiness training. BUSINESSES We also operate a diverse line of businesses to include aerospace manufacturing, aerospace parts warehouse distribution and and food services that provide on-the-job training and work experience for the people we serve, while generating revenue that helps fund our social mission. The 32-bed facility provides specialized residential treatment for men and women with #SubstanceUseDisorders and #MentalHealth issues. The program is a clinically managed residential #CoOccurringTreatment program with prescribed length of stay based on medical necessity. Happy Friday - #TGIF! We are very happy to spotlight Patricia Guest, Administrative Assistant, at the #SnohomishCounty Diversion Center (SCDC) in #Everett. She is a #SuperStar and we are fortunate to have her on our team! Patricia said, "I have been blessed to be with the SCDC since 2018 when it had only been open three months. From the start, I was a Resident Monitor and then transitioned into a Healthcare Coordinator, and now I work as an Administrative Assistant. The Diversion Center has come a long way since I started. I love what we do here; meeting people where they are at and supporting them on to their next steps. The center has gone from a lower-end census in the first couple of years - to a steady population of clients today. So many times I answer the phone or the door and it will be a former client just wanting to say thank you to SCDC for being here and telling us, "You saved my life!" Then they will usually continue by telling us the positive things going on in their lives including going back to school, getting a good job, or being reunited with family. It's a beautiful thing and that’s why I do what I do. I want to be that friendly face behind the counter that I unexpectedly met on my own journey years ago. Thank you!" Sarah McCreadie, Assistant Program Director, stated, "Patricia has made a tremendous impact during her time at the Diversion Center. She is a self-driven leader and a valued member of the team who happily goes above and beyond all expectations. Her commitment to her work and her compassion for our clients and the community we serve shines through in everything she does.
