We are thrilled to share that the All Ages, All Stages NC Plan will be officially released on our website next week! Join us for the unveiling event on September 27th at 10:00 AM, where Governor Roy Cooper and DHHS leadership will deliver remarks and celebrate this milestone. North Carolina’s Multisector Plan for Aging (MPA), All Ages, All Stages NC, is a visionary roadmap that addresses the needs of our aging population while enhancing opportunities across the lifespan. The plan focuses on improving health and well-being, building stronger communities, and ensuring every North Carolinian can thrive as they age. This plan was made possible by the support of over 200 partners, advocates, and community members who contributed to its development—our deepest thanks to all of you! Stay tuned for the official release and next steps as we move from planning to action, joining eight other states in implementing forward-thinking, multisector approaches to aging. 📅 Event Date: September 27, 2024

One of the biggest health challenges in aging just got a little easier. When a family member needs care for dementia, most caregivers are unprepared and overwhelmed, and there is little federal help or support. Until now. Rani Snyder of The John A. Hartford Foundation and our own Lindsay Goldman are among the aging funders expressing enthusiasm for the new Medicare GUIDE (Guiding an Improved Dementia Experience) program which will help by creating a free national network of dementia-care navigators to offer individualized advice, a 24/7 helpline, and financial support for respite care.
