Tailored to address the challenges faced by #Black leaders, this program is ideal for executives or mid-level managers from the Greater Pittsburgh region who have higher level career aspirations. Recipients of the scholarship must be admitted to the program and be employed by a PLDIC member organization. More than 360 law firms gained Diversity Lab's Mansfield Certification for 2023-24 for pushing for leadership diversity, up 13% from the 320 firms that were certified the previous year. #PLDIC member firms that have been at the Mansfield Certification program since its inception in 2017 include Troutman Pepper and Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP. The #PLDIC recently had the opportunity to send one of our member organization employees, Willie Mae Starr-White of Meyer, Unkovic & Scott LLP, to The Advanced Leadership Institute's inaugural Unlocking Leadership Excellence Workshop! Through the DISC Personality Survey, I gained valuable insights into my leadership style, which was both enlightening and empowering. One of the highlights for me was the segment on the formula for success, where we focused on creating actionable plans and statements. This practical approach to leadership was both inspiring and practical. A quote that resonated deeply with me was, 'Vision without a plan is an illusion.' This powerful statement underscored the importance of strategic planning in achieving our goals. Additionally, the workshop provided a fantastic opportunity to collaborate and network with other exceptional leaders and colleagues.
