Prop 1/NY ERA is a ballot proposal to amend the New York state constitution to clarify and strengthen protections for people who experience discrimination. The amendment, on the back of the ballot this fall, would add new protected classes including ethnicity, national origin, age, disability, and sex, including sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, pregnancy, pregnancy outcomes, reproductive health care and autonomy.
