Today marks 41 years on this planet and here's what i've learned so far. If you truly believe in something there is no end to what you can accomplish. Sometimes it seems easier to work on changing the world, than it does on yourself, but true change starts within. Dealing with the obstacles life throws at you face on is much more rewarding than trying to avoid them all together. No matter how absurd or impossible your dreams might seem, if you truly believe in them, and you work towards accomplishing them, there's no limit to what you can accomplish. Luck, is just the right combination of being at the right place, in the right time, with the right knowledge, so learn as much as you can, and don't get discouraged when things don't align the first time. There is always a lesson to be learned from the biggest pains. But, most importantly, if at first you don't succeed, try and try again. If you read what i have to say online, you might not realize the real struggle it takes to accomplish it all. Getting off the ground, and making it happen, is so much harder than it seems. Especially when others are raising more capital than us, or growing at a faster pace than us. I won't lie, there have been several moments that i've wanted to quit over the years, but what keeps me going is realizing how much we've accomplished since we set on this path. I went from someone who loved eating steak, eggs and cheese on everything, to fully vegan for an entire decade. I've gone from someone that had zero knowledge in the food industry to a world leader in my sector. I've gone from a guy that wished that there were more vegan pizza options around my city, to making vegan cheese for pizzerias across the country (and in some cases the globe). I went from being a guy that wished he could change the world, to actively participating in bringing meaningful impact to it. Thank you to everyone who believed in me, and gave me the support to be who am today, and who i will become tomorrow. Most importantly, i'm grateful to my family. My wife Abev Samain-Regev, is the person who pushed me to take an idea from our kitchen to a nationwide phenomena. The biggest gift she's given me, is the privilege of raising our amazing daughters, who have become our company's biggest supporters and fans. I of course wouldn't have started this journey without my brother Perry Regev challenging me by simply asking, "What kind of Fu--ing New Yorker are you without pizza?!" My parents Chana and Eyal have taught me some of the most important lessons in life and business, specifically, that if you have a desire and vision, with the right tools you can create anything. My bro Tomer taught me that with enough patience and belief, you can sell anything. I recently had the privilege to be included on a Future Foods Panel on the Real Men Eat Plants podcast hosted by Bryan Dennstedt🌱 and featuring Paul Shapiro from The Better Meat Co. Anthony Masiello from Love.Life Telehealth, Will Loiseau from Pro-Healthy Living and Eugene Wang from Sophie's BioNutrients It was a lot of fun to discuss all of the amazing innovations in the pipeline, from alternative proteins, precision fermentation, fungi based meats, and the story involving Climax Foods beating dairy cheeses in a recent competition. I especially enjoyed hearing how meaningful Pleese Cheese is to those who are looking to indulge with pizza without the side effects of dairy. I'm still amazed by how a hobby i started a few years ago in my kitchen has brought me to where i am today.
