Another fantastic celebration on a sunny Reno day - representatives from the City of Reno cut the ribbon on the new Public Safety Center along with Reno Police Department, designer OneStudio D+A and many, many partners, supporters, and workers. A complex retrofit of an existing building that was once home to a Reno newspaper, we are proud to see it recommissioned and modernized for yet another lifetime of public service. The Good Works Committee arranged for PB to volunteer with Reno Rescue back on the May 18th! Reno Rescue, Inc. is non-profit organization that provides therapeutic riding instruction and horseback riding lessons to disadvantaged youth, the physically disabled, veterans, and seniors. They have developed programs around horses, sensitive and intuitive creatures, which can uniquely heal physical and emotional needs. At their ranch in Verdi, NV, PB team members moved and sorted fence pieces, removed siding from a castle-themed outdoor play area, and raked and cleaned the grounds.
