  • Plesion Capital wishes you a most blessed Good Friday and a very happy Easter to all! Let us reflect on the apex of human history, the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. "For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day.." - 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

A great spotlight and testament to the bold work Aéko Ongodia and XENO Investment are doing on the continent. 0 to 100,000+ users in Uganda alone is no small feat, and we at Plesion Capital look forward to the seeing the great heights this group will reach in the future. 🚀

Have you grabbed your copy of the New Vision this morning? If you have, you might have come across our founder Aéko Ongodia sharing XENO's story from serving one individual to over hundred thousand Ugandans and our expansion into Kenya and Nigeria. While it is milestone, this journey is far more than that. As Aéko reflects "before we took our first customer in 2017, there were only 2300 investment accounts in Uganda." These conditions might have led anyone to believe the narrative that Africans do not plan or save for their future, when in fact the existing landscape was guilty of exclusivity and lacking the right solutions to meet people at their financial realities. "Most of our clients never had an investment account, so we had to tailor products that meet the common needs of everyone, starting with an askari and a house help. Having access to such guidance and tools allows one to face not only any future financial oblogations, but life itself with confidence." It's taken collaboration within our industry; with regulators and the private sector but today, we celebrate not only our growth, we celebrate defying defeatist expectations and transforming the future of Africa. 🌍 Read the full story on page 2 📰
