The incredible Darren Walker joined Susan Bass Roberts for a conversation at our event last night, The Courage of Justice. The truths that Darren shared about challenging inequality by investing in transformative ideas, institutions, individuals, and innovations resonated loudly. Yohuru Williams brought down the house with his inspirational closing remarks, inspiring us to lock arms as we advance justice together.

The Pohlad Family Foundation’s vision is for the Twin Cities’ nationally recognized quality of life to be shared by all. That is why we are proud to stand with our partners in the GroundBreak Coalition to work toward that vision by boldly addressing racial inequities in our region. The Foundation has made a $5M pledge to GroundBreak to support the goal of 11,000 new Black homeowners in the next 10 years. Our pledge is part of our 2020 commitment of $25M to advance racial justice following the murder of George Floyd. It will be the second largest gift in the Foundation’s history.
