We are sharing the bittersweet news that our esteemed colleague, Pooja Babbrah, will be leaving Point-of-Care Partners to join NCPDP as the Executive Vice President, Strategy & Industry Alignment. This newly created role will enable Pooja to enhance NCPDP’s relationships with regulatory bodies and standards organizations, advancing critical pharmacy initiatives that support better healthcare interoperability and patient outcomes. Pooja has been a pillar at POCP and in the industry, serving as a trusted guide and mentor over the past decade. She has made a tremendous impact on our team and the industry, with notable achievements including serving as Chair of the NCPDP Board of Trustees, participating in the Health Information Technology Advisory Committee (HITAC), and co-chairing the Sequoia Project Pharmacy Work Group. With her impressive track record, it’s no surprise that NCPDP would bring her on in this key leadership role. While we are sad to see Pooja go, we couldn’t be prouder of her accomplishments. At POCP, we are committed to supporting the growth of our team members, and sometimes this growth leads to prominent roles beyond our organization. Pooja’s success reflects the strength and quality of our team, and we are excited to see the continued impact she will have in her new position. POCP remains committed to supporting our clients with a talented and dedicated team of subject matter experts who have worked closely with Pooja over the years. We have a solid transition plan in place, and our team is ready to continue driving meaningful strategies and progress for our clients. Please join us in congratulating Pooja on this exciting new chapter. Strategy Leader focused on improving the patient and caregiver experience through technology, policy and standards
Hi everybody, I have some news...after nearly 10 years at Point-of-Care Partners, I've decided to step away from consulting. It's been quite a journey and I'm so incredibly grateful for the time I had with the organization. I know people say this all the time, but I have TRULY worked with some of the brightest minds in our industry and I will miss working with them and our clients on a daily basis. So what’s next? I will be taking on the newly created role of Executive Vice President of Strategy and Industry alignment at NCPDP (National Council for Prescription Drug Programs, Inc.) where I’ll be focused on building out the strategic plan and supporting relationships among Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Health Level Seven International and their accelerators, Assistant Secretary for Technology Policy (formerly ONC), and other industry stakeholders to advance pharmacy standards and initiatives that support the organization’s vision and purpose. For those of you who have spent any time with me recently you will know this is truly a dream job for me and I’m thrilled to be taking on a role that will allow me to impact the healthcare industry in such a meaningful way! Kendra Obrist is presenting at eSolutions Xchange on artificial intelligence. She's attending this week alongside Brian Dwyer and Alexandra (Alix) Goss (also a speaker). A lot of our work is focused on helping payers squeeze the most strategic benefit from all the work that goes into being compliant with federal rules like CMS-0057 as well as how to best leverage innovative technologies like AI. If you're at eSolutions Xchange this week, say hi to this trio of knowledge and charm. They'll be happy to talk to you about any challenges you might be facing.
