Polished Pebbles has severed the highest number of students on an annual basis by far, offering the most diverse and consistent type of programming to our youth. Together, we have served 1500+ girls and 30+ schools and community sites. Additionally we have provided paid summer employment for 400+ girls and young women. This Father’s Day, in partnership with the Girls Opportunity Alliance, we are celebrating the ways in which fathers play a huge role a girl’s education and wellbeing. Daniyah McDowell, a Polished Pebbles Student Ambassador, has a special connection with her Dad: "I’m so grateful for my dad being in my life. Polished Pebbles is offering free programming with real paychecks for young girls to enter the career pipeline for professional success through the following programs: ✨ Mommy & Me Entrepreneurship Program: Open to girls ages 10-14, this program provides mothers and daughters the tools to transform their small business ideas into a reality. ✨ West Side Summer Programming: Open to girls ages 14 to 15 and included paid internship, summer job shadow, leadership development and more. Students must live in Austin, East Garfield Park, Humboldt Park, Lower West Side, Near West Side, North Lawndale, South Lawndale, West Garfield Park, or West Town. ✨ Broadview Summer Programming: Open to girls ages 14 to 18 and included paid internship, summer job shadow, leadership development and more.
