We’re excited to introduce Cara Horn, our new Associate Vice President for the DFW region, bringing with her an impressive career spanning two decades in property management. Cara's journey began in 2004 as a leasing consultant with JPI while apartment hunting in Austin, TX. She went on to gain valuable experience with Colonial Properties Trust (REIT), working on both stabilized and lease-up properties. Her career then led her to Berkshire Communities, where she entered the DFW market in 2014. Cara’s expertise also extends into Asset Management with JPI, followed by her role as Regional Manager at RPM Living. Most recently, she managed a portfolio of over 4,000 units at RPM Investments Asset Management, including newly acquired and value-add assets across DFW, Florida, and the Mid-Atlantic regions. Passionate about building high-performing teams and developing future leaders, Cara is dedicated to driving operational excellence and growth in the apartment industry. Cara earned her BA in Journalism Broadcast News, with a minor in Political Science, from the University of North Texas. Join us in welcoming Cara to the Portico family! Her journey began in tax credit multifamily housing, where she developed a strong foundation in financial and regulatory matters. She then expanded her experience, managing stabilized, rehab, and lease-up assets across Texas, Iowa, and Georgia. Stephanie's commitment to excellence is reflected in her achievements, including earning her CAM license in 2018 and graduating from the San Antonio Apartment Association's Leadership Lyceum in 2023.
