Our cargo operations have halted due to the impasse in contract negotiations between USMX and the ILA. With no new agreement in place, it is unclear how long this work stoppage will last. As a resource, we have posted FAQs and will provide updates to customers and partners at https://lnkd.in/ee3zmEjs. What you need to know today: ▪ Norfolk International Terminals (NIT), Virginia International Gateway (VIG), Newport News Marine Terminal (NNMT), Pinners Point Container Yard (PPCY), Portsmouth Chassis Yard (PCY), Reefer Service Area (RSA), and the Damage Annex have ceased cargo operations ▪ The office of the Virginia Port Authority (VPA), Virginia International Terminals (VIT), and Hampton Roads Chassis Pool II (HRCP II) are open in accordance with their regular schedules. Richmond Marine Terminal (RMT) and Virginia Inland Port (VIP) will operate normally, but cargo operations will be impacted. Portsmouth Marine Terminal (PMT) will operate as normal ▪ Our hope is for a speedy resolution that allows The Port of Virginia to implement its resumption of operations plan and methodically and safely bring terminals back online ▪ For media inquiries, please contact Joe Harris, Spokesman, at jharris@portofvirginia.com

The Port of Virginia reposted this
This morning, I was honored to present The Port of Virginia to participants at the 22nd International Soil & Tillage Research Organisation (ISTRO) Confernece at the Virginia Beach oceanfront. Nearly 200 professionals, from 38 countries, gathered to pursue ISTRO’s mission: “To promote contacts among scientists undertaking research in soil tillage and field traffic and their relationship with the soil environment, land use and crop production.” In Virginia, the long-standing partnership between agriculture and maritime generates tremendous benefits for state, national and global economies. #AmericasMostModernGateway Virginia Farm Bureau Federation College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Virginia Tech Virginia Soybean Association Virginia Cooperative Extension (Official) Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services

America’s Most Modern Gateway isn’t a concept that ends when you leave one of our terminals — it continues throughout your supply chain’s every stop. Alongside the Commonwealth of Virginia's total investment of $5 billion into world-class tunnels, highways, and bridges throughout the region, The Port of Virginia is strategically investing $1.4 billion to build capacity and increase efficiency, with total project completion by 2027. 🔦 Project Spotlight: The $3.9 billion Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel Expansion project is the largest highway construction project in Virginia history, and one of the largest highway construction projects in the country. Once completed in early 2027, this tunnel will enhance the fluidity of freight in and out of our gateway. Learn more about the Virginia advantage at https://lnkd.in/ew72-4Zj.
