Before November 8, tell policymakers to protect your co-op! https://lnkd.in/gwhJUg49 via Voices for Cooperative Power #Voices4Coops

PRECorp distributed more than 1.8 billion kilowatt hours of power throughout its service territory in 2022. The remaining 18 percent of sales went to residential and irrigation customers.

Brundage St. in Sheridan to its merger with Tri-County Electric to form Powder River Energy, this cooperative has powered our community for 80 years! 📸 Pictured are some of the early staff and linemen who helped build this legacy, serving our community with dedication and hard work.

NRECA is fighting to stop the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)’s mercury and air rule for power plants. The rule would create substantial costs and reliability impacts for electric cooperatives while providing no health benefits. NRECA CEO Jim Matheson says “This EPA rule is unlawful, unworkable and poses a serious threat to electric reliability.” Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eXRYxz23 via NRECA

It's no secret that when demand is high and supply is low, costs go up. The EPA’s power plant rule creates major concerns about threats to electric reliability and cost increases for our members. We need access to reliable, affordable power our communities can depend on. via NRECA
