Our employee volunteers painted engaging spaces for students to learn and grow and promoted science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) learning at two schools in China as part of our COLORFUL COMMUNITIES® program’s New Paint for a New Start initiative. In Zhangjiagang, volunteers transformed Zhangjiagang Deji Primary School, benefiting more than 1,700 teachers and students. In addition to colorful murals, volunteers also helped renovate the school’s eco-farm. In Tianjin, volunteers from our Tianjin facility and Global Coatings Innovation Center came together to beautify TEDA No.1 Primary School. Volunteers painted walls, murals and donated STEM kits to the school. We have completed the expansion of our industrial coatings plant in Vietnam, adding production of our waterborne decorative and functional coatings for consumer electronics. Volunteers from our PPG Comex team’s social impact program, Comex for a Well Done Mexico, recently collaborated with community organizations to restore and beautify a soccer field in Mexico City. The project at Canary Park aimed to promote inclusion and community development while improving a public space. “By integrating sports as a central tool, we foster collaboration and a sense of belonging among community members, thus creating a more united and supportive environment. Through our interventions, we seek not only to beautify and revitalize public spaces, but also to strengthen interpersonal relationships and promote an active and participatory community spirit,” said Mai Hernández, director of the Comex for a Well Done Mexico program.
