What's with the boxes? Prapela incubator and bassinet pads are shipping to Tufts Medicine and the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Our latest clinical trial, funded by The National Institutes of Health, will show how our mattress improves breathing and oxygenation in preterm newborns. Enrollment starts in September! 

Prapela is delighted to have been selected by the NIH SEED program, which supports NIH showcase companies at The MedTech Conference. We will have a spot on the exhibition floor and present at the Innovation Pavillion. We'll also present at the LSX USA Congress in Boston's Hynes Convention Center on September 11 and at RESI Boston/Life Science Nation on September 25. Thank you to MIT Bootcamps and The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) for the Prapela case study to kick off this week's #SUDVentures program. Special thanks to Erdin Beshimov, Elena Koustova, and Leonardo M. Angelone. It was an honor to share our experience with the many bright and talented entrepreneurs working on innovations in the SUD space. Our work to help newborns recover from in-utero opioid exposure continues—special thanks to Tufts Medical Center for leading our most recent clinical study. Most importantly, thanks to the mothers and caregivers trusting our device and supporting clinicians to help them and their newborns.

Apnea and Intermittent Hypoxemia are two severe and far too common conditions among preterm newborns.
