  • Earlier this week, the Prescott Valley Police Department K9 Unit officially opened its new K9 Agility Course with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Thanks to the support of Home Depot, local donors, Arizona Luxury Lawns & Greens, and the dedicated efforts of PVPD staff and their families, this incredible new facility was constructed over the summer. The K9 Agility Course will now be an invaluable resource for K9 training. A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this project a reality - your contributions will benefit the PVPD and our community for years to come! #prescottvalleypolice #townofprescottvalley #k9unit

Exciting news! The Arizona Department of Health Services has granted CAFMA a Certificate of Necessity (CON) to provide emergency ground ambulance transport across our 369 square mile service area, which includes Prescott Valley, Chino Valley, Dewey-Humboldt, and parts of Yavapai County. In Arizona, fire and medical agencies like CAFMA must establish community need and obtain a CON before providing emergency ambulance transport. With this approval, we'll enhance pre-hospital medical care, offering timely and professional assistance to community members and visitors. We remain steadfast in our dedication to safety with the continued staffing of ten full-time stations and a 40-hour peak demand engine. Every firefighter is an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), and each engine company is staffed with at least one Paramedic. CAFMA will operate two ambulances—one from Station 58 in Prescott Valley, and one from Station 62 in Chino Valley. To ensure the highest level of care is provided to our community, each ambulance will be staffed with an EMT and a Paramedic. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to you, our community members, for your ongoing support and encouragement throughout the nearly three-year CON process. We also thank our dedicated staff and the invaluable support of partner agencies, community organizations, and individuals who stood by us every step of the way. With your support and our team's commitment, we're proud to supplement our 911 system and continue providing excellent care to the communities we serve. THANK YOU!

What a great turnout at the Badges & Bobbers event this year! 🎣 Over 300 people attended the fishing event on Saturday at Fain Park. Even if you've never fished, you could still enjoy the event as Arizona Game and Fish waived the fishing license requirement for the morning. The lake was stocked with fish by the agency, and the Early Bird Lions Club helped clean all the fish caught. Fishers also got the opportunity to meet and fish with firefighters from Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority, officers from Prescott Valley Police Department, Prescott Police Department, Chino Valley Police Department, and Yavapai-Apache Tribal Police, along with deputies from Yavapai County Sheriff's Office and troopers with Arizona Department of Public Safety. And for those who got hungry, Outlaw Donuts and Gringos Tacos were on site selling food. Thanks to everyone who attended! #prescottvalleypd #townofprescottvalley #qualityoflife #communityoutreach

  • Prescott Valley Ranks Third Safest City in Arizona In an October 2023 article from PropertyClub, Prescott Valley ranked third on the list of the 10 safest cities in Arizona. Prescott Valley is the only city in Yavapai County to make this distinguished list. With the Town’s population coming in at just under 47,000 residents, Prescott Valley is 65 percent safer than the average in Arizona, with a crime rate of 957 incidents for 100,000 people. Many factors contribute to Prescott Valley receiving this designation. The community has a proactive police department that believes in community-based policing, from the sworn personnel who patrol the streets to the professional staff who are always looking for programs to engage and educate members of the community. PVPD partners with citizens to tackle issues together. It is this collaborative effort that has made Prescott Valley an amazing, and safe, place to live, work, and play. • Last fall, the Prescott Valley Police Department had four officers attend and graduate from the Northern Arizona Regional Training Academy (NARTA). The six-month course is both physically and academically demanding and is a regional training center that has served city, county, tribal, and state law enforcement agencies throughout Arizona since 1996. Officers Bruner, Carter, Cote, and Glover are now in their field training at the PVPD. Want to join our high-performing team? The PVPD will host its next Open House Event on Wednesday, February 7th from 5 - 6:30 p.m. in the PD Training Room at 7601 E Skoog Blvd, Prescott Valley. Officers and background investigators will be on hand to assist you in completing forms and to answer any questions you may have. #highperformingteam #townofprescottvalley #prescottvalleypolice
