Thank you to American Kidney Fund for their continued collaboration and impact that they make in this area. Primary care doctors are often the health care providers who are treating people in earlier stages of chronic kidney disease, and there can be limitations in detecting genetic kidney disease and understanding of genetic testing, which can lead to missed opportunities to slow progression toward kidney failure. To help counter these barriers and limitations, along with AKF, we created a one-credit CME webinar to teach primary care providers about how to make referrals to a nephrologist. #kidneyweek
AKF staff enjoyed connecting with #Nephrology professionals and the opportunity to share the newest AKF programs and initiatives for the kidney community at this year’s American Society of Nephrology #KidneyWk in San Diego! #Posters presented by AKF staff this year included: "Impact of American Kidney Fund CME/CE course on primary care provider understanding of kidney disease and genetic testing” Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eawiUrVd “American Kidney Fund’s Kidney Health Coach online course improved confidence, knowledge and practice intentions among health care professionals” Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eawiUrVd Thank you to everyone who joined us for our evening roundtable conversation around post-transplant care with Natera, stopped by the AKF booth and participated in critically important conversations with us on #kidneydisease, including AKF's corporate partners.
