Prime Energy Finalizes $180 Million Allseas Contract, Securing Future Energy for Filipinos with Malampaya Life Extension Project. Metro Manila, Philippines, September 4, 2024 – Prime Energy Resources Development BV (Prime Energy), leading the Service Contract 38 (SC38) Consortium officially finalized a critical $180 million contract with Allseas Nederland (Brasil) B.V. during a signing ceremony in Manila. This event marks the formalization of a pivotal agreement for the Malampaya life extension initiative, "Project Sinagtala," underscoring a significant advancement in the Philippines’ energy security strategy. The finalized contract entrusts Allseas with the installation of essential pipeline and umbilical infrastructure, connecting two new wells to the Malampaya Shallow Water Platform. These wells are scheduled to commence gas delivery by 2026, ensuring a continuous supply of indigenous natural gas that will power millions of homes and businesses across Luzon, further solidifying the nation’s energy independence. "Today's signing ceremony highlights the strong partnership between Prime Energy, as a service contractor, and the Philippine government, particularly with the Department of Energy, as we finalize this crucial contract to advance Project Sinagtala and strengthen the nation's energy security," said Donnabel Kuizon Cruz , Prime Energy CEO. Corporate Relations Leader Speaks at "Harmony at Work" Summit, Showcasing Health and Wellness Initiatives. Chito Santos Maniago, Prime Infrastructure's Corporate Relations Director, recently spoke at the "Harmony at Work" Health and Wellness Summit organized by KonsultaMD in Manila. This event, held in cooperation with the Management Association of the Philippines (MAP), highlighted health and wellness programs in the workplace to champion employee welfare and overall well-being. Chito Maniago also served as the Co-Vice Chair for the MAP Health Committee. During his presentation, Chito shared the various health initiatives undertaken by MAP, which include health surveys, health crawls, and other health partnerships. He emphasized the importance of these initiatives in promoting a healthier work environment. Chito also detailed the health and wellness programs implemented by Prime Energy. These programs involve monthly participation in Department of Health and World Health Organization promotions tailored to the health profiles and needs of employees. Notable initiatives include campaigns for Philippine Heart Month, Nutrition Month, Mental Health Awareness Month, and World AIDS Day. Prime Energy actively promotes these programs through various mediums and special events. In addition to these initiatives, Prime Energy encourages employees to join various health clubs sponsored by the company.

Project Tanglaw of the MALAMPAYA FOUNDATION, INC. is in full swing! Tanglaw sa Kommunidad is an MFI project that supports off grid electrification efforts of the Department of Energy by providing pilot developing communities with solar-powered alternatives. With the help of Prime Energy Resources Development who funded the project, and the local government of the remote island municipality of Linapacan, Palawan, two Barangays - Barangay Binalabag and Barangay Cabunlawan, both on the tiny island of Isla Beni, each received a solar grid electrification system. The two decentralized clustered solar power systems generate a combined production capacity of around 120,000kwh and will provide power for some 250+ households on the two islands. The solar lighting of the two barangays is the result of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed in December 2023 by Linapacan Mayor Emil Neri, MFI President Annabelle Ong, MFI Executive Director Karen Agabin, and Prime Energy Chief Regulatory Officer Giboy Salapantan. The two barangays were selected as pilot sites for Project Tanglaw. Linapacan municipality, consisting of barangays and sitios spread across 52 islands, has faced water and electricity challenges for decades due to its isolation. In response to these social issues, MFI continues to invest in social development programs to improve the socio-economic conditions of Malampaya’s marginalized communities, primarily composed of fisherfolk and Indigenous People.

Prime Energy’s best at the APM LEADCon 2024. Prime Energy delegates attended the APM LEADCon 2024, held last July 3-5 at Citadines Bay City, Manila. This premier conference, under the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, brought together professionals from various industries to discuss "Sustainable Futures." Prime Energy's delegation, led by President and General Manager Donnabel Kuizon Cruz, included Dingdong Altarejos, Glenn Pamplona, Kate De Chavez, Zen Pasagad, Gab Gamboa, Jericho Rivera, and Julie Gregorio. Donna Kuizon Cruz spoke on "Socioeconomic Inclusion and Gender Equality in Asset Management Strategies." Glenn Pamplona, serving on the advisory council, delivered opening remarks and participated in a workshop on asset integrity with Kate De Chavez, who won the Best Presentation Award. De Chavez also led a technical session on managing hardware barriers for asset integrity. Dingdong Altarejos and Zen Pasagad presented on enhancing asset reliability, with Pasagad moderating a session on sustainable asset management through data analytics. Gab Gamboa moderated a session on the circular economy and waste minimization. Jericho Rivera led a technical session on effective management of change for asset integrity management, and Julie Gregorio led a session on maintaining asset integrity through defect tagging and work prioritization. Altarejos, as part of the advisory council, concluded the event with closing remarks.

The MALAMPAYA FOUNDATION, INC. spearheaded a medical mission last June 20, 2024 to approximately 250 residents of Barangay Tabangao-Ambulong, Batangas City. The medical mission is a part of MFI’s various ongoing Social Development Programs aimed at enriching the local communities around the Malampaya Natural Gas-to-Power Project. The Tabangao-Ambulong mission was joined by the Philippine Red Cross (PRC), members of the Batangas Medical Society (BMS), Batangas Medical Center (BMC) and the Batangas City Health Office. The MFI medical mission provided the residents with free medical consultations, laboratory tests, bloodletting, circumcision, electrocardiogram (ECG) tests and lessons in basic first aid. The PRC also provided free complete blood counts (CBC); Fasting Blood Sugar Tests (FBS) – for those who fasted in advance, and; Random Blood Sugar Tests (RBS) – for those who did not. Basic medicines were also given for free to the residents. MFI project manager Tony Reyes said that the medical mission was timely because of the onset of the rainy season – a time when most people get sick. For their part the residents of Barangay Tabangao-Ambulong expressed their sincerest gratitude to the foundtion and to all the medical mission volunteers. One of the residents, Erasmo Are, 71, said “Malaking tulong yung medical mission ng MFI, at taong-taong kong inaabangan ang proyektong to.” Mang Are was at the mission for digestive problems. He was thankful for the free medicines issued to him, and was asked to report to the BMC for further testing.

Malampaya exceeds export capacity as Luzon grid placed on alert status. The Malampaya offshore field was able to reliably deliver more than its export capacity as the Luzon grid was placed on red and yellow alerts on Monday, April 16, by the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP). Prime Energy Resources Development B.V. (Prime Energy), operator of Service Contract (SC) No.38 which governs the Malampaya project, said gas supply to customers peaked at 290 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD). The total is against the current maximum capacity of Malampaya wells at 262 MMSCFD. “When needed by the grid, Malampaya was able to reliably deliver even more than export capacity. Malampaya was able to deliver on demand because all producing wells were available and there was sufficient reserve in the gas export pipeline,” explained Donnabel Kuizon Cruz, Managing Director and General Manager of Prime Energy. “The system reliability and availability of Malampaya in March was 100%.
