Building a Student Community for Aspiring Product Leaders and their Recruitment Journey 🚀 Last year, while prepping for APM and PM internships, I noticed something missing - unlike SWE, there were no dedicated communities for undergrad and new grad PMs. So, I decided to build one. Today, I’m proud to say that Product Haven has grown to over 2.3k students 🎉 There are plenty of great product resources out there like Cracking the PM Interview, Decode and Conquer, and Exponent. But what was missing was a public space where students could connect, schedule mock interviews, follow application timelines, and get personalized recruitment support. Many existing PM communities, like Mind the Product and Lewis Lin's Slack, are fantastic but tend to focus on later-stage PMs. They weren't as tailored to the specific needs of students and often lacked transparency. Before Product Haven, the best way to learn about a recruitment process was spending hours searching through Reddit and Medium to hopefully find what other students wrote, and even then the information was typically fragmented and out of date. At first I built Product Haven as a community to help me along my recruitment journey but it grew into something so much more, a passion to help other students find and land their dream roles. If you’re a student looking to break into Product Management and are prepping for upcoming APM roles, I’d love for you to join us and help spread the word, especially with PM recruitment ramping up :) 👉 Follow us on Linkedin Product Haven and Instagram @producthavenpm 👉 Link to join: https://lnkd.in/gAiWPMK9 PS. huge shoutout to the rest of the Product Haven team: Anjali Bathra R. Kanika Mohan and Chris Kong - we have big things planned to stay tuned and join the community 🙌

🚀 Master Hub PM 2025 recruiting 🚀 It is never to early to start preparing for the upcoming PM recruiting cycle (especially for APM programs). That is why we at Product Haven are building a one stop shop for all things PM intern + new grad 2025 recruiting. (company timelines, job descriptions, interview advice and resource guides) In my experience one of the most annoying parts about PM recruiting is how scattered the resources are all over the internet - reddit, youtube, medium, etc. To make life easier, we’ve pulled all those valuable resources together in one place. For example if you are prepping for Google's APM program, instead of spending hours searching for resource guides and youtube videos, you can just check out our Google APM specific page. We will continue to update the master hub with recruitment updates, accurate timelines and program specific pages as the year goes on. If you are interested in helping us build our company timelines, you can fill out this form: https://lnkd.in/gKq-FAej I hope Product Haven has been useful and we can continue to build incredible resources for anyone interested in product as the recruitment year starts to ramp up :) Here is the link to the Master Hub: https://lnkd.in/gwVZ_5t6 PS. huge shoutout to Anjali Bathra R. for helping build this resource and the rest of the Product Haven team Kanika Mohan and Chris Kong

What an INCREDIBLE recruiting season it’s been🚀 Last month, we launched a recruiting survey for our members 📧 In this survey, we asked questions like where they are for the summer and what schools they attended🤔 The most shocking statistic we found out was that over 40% of them were international students and if you know any international students, you know the struggle! We’re excited to see so many of our members joining great companies for internships and full-time PM roles. 🧑🏻💻👩🏻💻 Come join Product Haven to get ready for the Fall APM intern/full-time recruiting szn! Wanna set yourself up for a successful recruiting season this Fall? You HAVE to do these: 1. The Tech Cadets: nobody’s stopping you from building a project that you can add to your resume, talk about in interviews, get exposure to working in a team + you’ll meet some of the coolest ppl: Ciara Cade, Audrey Chen, Kevin Liao, and Justin Harper. 2. ThinkedIn: learn to build your personal brand, it’s that simple:) use the summer to create a brand identity of yourself that you’re super proud of. 3. WeCracked: I actually found out about this very recently but what a cool resource built by the best people (Kieran Llarena, Rian Corcino⚡, and more) I highly recommend keeping an eye on their page. Hackathons are the BEST place to meet people that can help you get your first/next internship. 4. Product Haven: my personal favorite 🤩 I could not have survived recruiting szn without it last fall. It’s the ONLY early career PM community as of now!!! Built by my friends and I luckily get to help out too :) 5. Coffee chats: most people are busy with their 9-5s and got the summer slump, so the DMs of recruiters are NOT packed just yet. You could use this to your advantage by starting cold emailing with your latest resume. 5. Interview Prep: nobody’s born with the ability to ace interviews even though it seems like some people are sometimes. Start with doing 1 mock interviews a week through Product Haven’s #mockinterviews channel and ramp it up by end of summer! Your anxiety would be out the window by the time interview szn begins bc you’ll have enough practice in! Don’t forget to enjoy the summer too:) Here’s another BeReal of me at work: ⬇️ #college #recruiting #intern #iwork4Dell #PM #internships

Why are startups that have raised $55M in VC funding having unpaid internships? Students shouldn’t be exploited for their work, and companies should reflect that in their salaries even in a tough competitive market We here at Product Haven want to help, comment your email below if you want a list of upcoming internships 🚀✍️

𝗠𝘆 𝟭𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝗣𝗠 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺! 🚀 I’m thrilled to announce that I’m spending my summer as an Associate Product Management (APM) intern at Google! The Google APM program is renowned for nurturing the next generation of product leaders. With an acceptance rate lower than 0.50%, it is one of the most coveted positions in tech. I’m incredibly grateful for the countless mentors who’ve guided me along the way. I truly would not be here without their support! 💖 To pay it forward, I want to undertake an ambitious goal of helping 50 students this summer. Whether you’re looking for advice on product management, details about the APM program, pivoting into tech from a non-tech background, or general internship tips -- I’m happy to chat! 🎯 Book a slot on my Calendly here: https://lnkd.in/eDzNVXRj **update: spots are now filled, please comment below so I can DM you when I reevaluate my availability Heads up: Applications for the Google APM program open in October, but it is never too early to start preparing! #GoogleAPM #ProductManagement #CareerAdvice #Mentorship #Internships #GeorgiaTech #APMIntern #PM #APM
