Founded in 1967, Project Place assists homeless and low-income individuals transition out of the cycle of poverty and into permanent employment and housing. We work with men and women who are motivated and committed to success. The numerous barriers faced by our clients include little or no work history, lack of a formal education, criminal backgrounds, mental illness, struggles with addiction and estragement from family and community.

Committee Purpose: The Climb for a Cause Event Committee plays a crucial role in supporting the mission of Project Place by ensuring our flagship fundraising and community event, Climb for a Cause, achieves its fundraising and attendance goals. About Climb for a Cause: Hosted at historic Fenway Park, Climb for a Cause is a stair climb that unites the Greater Boston community to support those experiencing homelessness and poverty. At our inaugural event in April 2023, we had over 600 participants and 73 teams, raising awareness and funds for Project Place's mission. About Project Place: Project Place is committed to creating a community of hope and opportunity for individuals experiencing homelessness and poverty. Our programs provide the skills, education, and resources necessary for employment and housing. We aim to make a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve.
