Our energy efficient solutions include bulk milk coolers, rapid milk chillers, cold storage solutions and refrigerated trucks for decentralized cold chain in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and soon to be introduced to other countries in Africa and SE Asia. We solve the problem of unreliable electricity in rural India by converting and storing electrical energy into thermal energy thereby eliminating the need for backup diesel generators.

#DYK India leads the world in milk production? According to the Food and Agriculture Organization Corporate Statistical Database, India contributed 24 percent of global milk production in 2021-22, making it the highest milk producer in the world. A NITI Aayog report predicts that India’s milk production will reach approximately 300 million tonnes by 2030. Despite this impressive output, rural India faces a big challenge: an unreliable electric grid that's often available for only a few hours a day. This makes keeping milk fresh difficult, as it needs consistent refrigeration. On #WorldMilkDay, we celebrate innovations like those from Promethean Power Systems, which are addressing this issue with their innovative milk chillers, helping to combat food loss and ensure that milk stays fresh longer. They are working closely with women farmers, and with the support of WE4F, they have secured partnerships with multiple finance companies.
