Just outside of Cleveland, Ohio, Prosperity Haven is a beautiful 3,000-sf property located on 7.5 acres surrounded by woods in the rural area of Chardon, Ohio. Patients enjoy a quiet, tranquil setting as they work through issues that keep them from living a life free from addiction. Our program is specifically designed for men 18 years and older and addresses all aspects of a man’s life. We serve no more than twelve men at one time in order to provide adequate one-on-one time with each patient in a private and confidential environment. Our clinical team consists of a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor, a board-certified physician, and licensed substance abuse counselors who work together to formulate the best treatment plan for each individual. Every treatment plan is customized and reflects the ongoing assessments by clinical and medical staff and the progression or regression of the patient’s behavioral and medical state.

On Wednesdays, we cold plunge! Each Wednesday afternoon group session starts off with a cold plunge for our clients. This helps to reset their nervous systems, mid week, to be more alert and focused when they’re attending intensive group sessions, every day! Did you know that short-term exposure to cold temperatures, such as from a cold plunge, can stimulate the vagus nerve? It also: * Slows heart rate: Cold water immersion can help slow your heart rate. * Reduces stress response: Cold exposure can help reduce the body's natural stress response. * Redirects blood flow: Cold water immersion can help redirect blood flow to the brain * Activates parasympathetic nervous system: Cold water immersion can activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which is responsible for calming you down. * Releases norepinephrine: The vagus nerve sends messages to the brain that it is in distress, which triggers the release of the feel-good hormone norepinephrine.

Prosperity Haven is a very proud sponsor of one of our partnering colleges, local events! We have learning agreements with several local colleges and universities, to intern their students. Lake Erie College, however, was the inaugural college that started these partnerships for us, and will forever be a big part of our hearts because of that! They have also provided us, with one of beloved group facilitators, Madison Sullivan, who fell in love with addiction medicine and everything Prosperity Haven has to offer. She now joins us once a week, as she works with our clients on their recovery! Please considering joining her, her former classmates, and professors, as they present their Second Annual, Health Fair, on Saturday, September 7th!

Prosperity Haven was proud to partner with the Rostraver Police Department in hosting “Mon Valley Night Out”, an event for the first responders in the surrounding areas. The community really came together and had some wonderful food/resources/activities for the kids. It’s an honor to help people struggling with Substance Abuse Disorder. At events like these, it’s humbling to share such personal stories with strangers and a reminder that this disease, somehow, has affected almost every person in one way or another. I look forward to continuing to help people in this area and the next, get the help and support they need to achieve long term sobriety. The police department has a new “Take Note” program for the kids, that educates them on substance abuse disorder and prevention. It’s refreshing to see a police department care so much about the kids and their community. Rostraver Township has some of the best. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported and to all of the first responders who keep us safe!

Wow.... Just wow. I'm honored, humbled, proud and grateful to be part of a space that I not only get an opportunity to share my expertise, and accomplishments... but more so my passions and my personal experiences. Thankful to be able to speak on behalf of Prosperity Haven this week, with my colleagues and fellow clinicians needing credits for license renewal, or just in need of education and training, on trauma.
