With reflection and inspiration in mind, our instructional coaches gathered today at the ESC to plan for next year. They are focused on supporting our teachers and schools in finding innovative ways to take learning to the next level in the upcoming school year.

We are excited to announce that Pryor Teacher of the Year Lori Martin has been honored as a finalist for the Professional Oklahoma Educators (POE) High School Educator Merit Award. Martin was recognized as one of 10 high school teachers nominated from across Oklahoma. 

At Monday's school board meeting, we celebrated two important events. Dr. Lisa Muller led a special recognition for our incredible volunteers from around the district, and we also witnessed Jeanette Anderson take the Oath of Office, officially joining our school board as the newest member.

Dr. Muller recently attended the Cherokee Nation's Public School Appreciation Day where Pryor Public Schools received a donation of over $207,000 from the proceeds of Cherokee Nation car tag sales. These funds directly benefit our students and are used to support programs across the district. We appreciate our ongoing partnership with the Cherokee Nation and their support of public schools. 

A new Tiger Stadium is underway for Pryor Public Schools. Superintendent Dr. Lisa Muller, alongside the Pryor School Board and administrators officially kicked off the construction by tossing the first shovels of dirt at the groundbreaking ceremony. Crossland Construction will be building the stadium set to open for the fall season of 2025.

During a recent VEGA Americas, Inc. truck demonstration, Pryor High School Innovation Center students researched how tank-level sensors work. Applied Engineering students are currently working on a tank leveling system project and viewing the actual sensors used by industries like chemical and pharmaceutical plants, the food industry, drinking water supply systems, metal extraction, sewage treatment plants, and power generation stations provided valuable insights into the function and application of the sensors.

Empowering Educators: Transforming Teaching Quality Teachers from across the district gathered at Pryor High School for professional development last Friday. Fellow teachers presented instructional sessions to share their expertise and experience with their peers. As professional learning leaders, educators can remarkably influence teaching quality well beyond their own classrooms. Their commitment to their craft can ignite enthusiasm, accelerating a school's capacity to meet the unique needs of every student.
