PsychArmor is honored to be one of three Community Champions for the DUOS Connections for a Cause Initiative. DUOS, a digital health company empowering older adults to live independently and attain the highest level of health in partnership with a health plan, launched Connections for a Cause last December to extend vital support and services to those who need it most. Together, we deliver meaningful impact in the communities we serve. DUOS is inviting healthcare leaders in attendance at scheduled events to visit the company’s booth and try their hand with the new interactive wall which accumulates donations with provided DUO$DOLLARS to a cause aligned to four categories that tie back to DUOS’ overall mission – community, access to care, health equity and companionship. To learn more about upcoming events, stay connected with DUOS on LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram.

Powering Change Through Education
About us
PsychArmor is a nonprofit that offers critical resources to Americans so they can effectively engage with and support military service members, Veterans, and their families. Because fewer than 7% of Americans serve or have served in uniform, most civilians are unfamiliar with military culture. As a result, members of the military and Veteran community often feel misunderstood and reluctant to seek support. Our mission is to bridge that civilian-military gap by educating a nation. At PsychArmor, we provide free online training videos delivered by national subject matter experts who are fiercely committed to educating the civilian community about military culture. Additionally, our Support Center provides follow-up coaching to reinforce the knowledge conveyed in our courses.

Over 🌟 10,000 🌟 people trained in preventing 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 & 𝗩𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 suicide! When I joined PsychArmor over 4 years ago, one of the first things I had the privilege to help design was a course focused on preventing suicide in our military & Veteran caregiver community. We had created so many resources to prevent Veteran suicide, but very few educational resources existed that prioritized the mental health of caregivers. Partnering with the amazing Melissa Comeau and Heidi Kraft, we recreated the VA's S.A.V.E. course to focus on the caregivers of our nation's Veterans. "VA S.A.V.E.: Preventing Caregiver Suicide" launched in November 2021 and has equipped over 10,000 people to support a caregiver in their life through a mental health crisis. Ready to make an impact? Enroll in this free course today: https://lnkd.in/gUDaEerV Shoutout to the entire PsychArmor team for making this happen! I’m thrilled to be speaking in Las Vegas at the RISE HEDIS & Quality Improvement Summit alongside Stephanie Muckey and Dr. Tina Atherall, DSW, LMSW. We’ll be discussing how to deliver accessible quality care to Veteran members—a cause that’s profoundly important to me. Our work with Humana and PsychArmor highlights immense power of connections. These two women have dedicated their lives to enhancing Veteran health outcomes and reducing disparities. To be able to share the stage with them is a true honor. It has truly been a career highlight at DUOS to witness first-hand care that truly honors the service of those who have given so much to our great nation. #MedicareAdvantage #VeteranCare #ThePowerofConnections
