We had the pleasure of visiting #Chennai, #Tiruchirappalli, #Bangalore, and #Mumbai, engaging with talented students, alumni, and academic leaders. These events offered a wonderful opportunity to introduce our Chemical Engineering Professional Master’s Program (PMP), connect with bright minds, answer their questions, and build meaningful relationships for future collaborations. Celebrating Our Consequential Impact On The World #PurdueEngineering150

📅 September 2006 Renowned biomedical engineer Leslie Geddes (1921-2009), whose research spawned innovations ranging from burn treatments to miniature defibrillators, was honored with a surprise tribute featuring speakers from industry and academia during the dedication of Purdue’s new Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering Building. Geddes’ discoveries, licensed by such companies as Eli Lilly and Company and Cook Biotech, have generated tens of millions of dollars in royalties for #Purdue. He received a National Medal of Technology and Innovation in 2006, the IEEE's Edison Medal in 1994, and was inducted into the National Academy of Engineering in 1985. #PurdueEngineering150 Purdue University Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering

We are proud to congratulate Ray Mentzer, Purdue professor of engineering practice and executive director of Purdue Process Safety & Assurance Center (P2SAC), on being awarded the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign ChBE Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award. Professor Mentzer was selected by the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering’s Alumni Awards Committee for his distinguished career at ExxonMobil and his continued service to the department.
