Powering energy transition through renewable development

The Infocast Solar & Wind Investment is over. As always, this was the premier deal-making event. And it was great to reconnect with so many of the industry friends and meet new people.. On the panel, I discussed how we’re seeing new “fast tracks” emerge as FERC has yet to rule on most Order 2023 compliance filings. PJM’s RRI process is a one-time event for 50 projects, while MISO and SPP are introducing ongoing expedited queues without caps. As filings unfold, these developments could #reshape #interconnection dynamics, especially with growing demand from data centers and AI. My fellow panelists Carrie Zalewski, Filipe Cunha, Kevin Wetzel and Joe Hall all agreed that transmission #planning, not interconnection demand can help us solve the current bottleneck but it will take time. Thank you for inviting me to speak, Infocast team! Laura Garcia Peggy Franzino
