Affordable housing consulting, training, and management—because we all deserve a safe and affordable place to call home.
About us
Quadel Consulting has been a leading national expert in public housing since 1975, working with local agencies to improve or administer Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) programs, HUD-subsidized multifamily housing programs, Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs, disaster recovery housing services and more. Quadel blends private-sector productivity, quality and management principles with public and nonprofit social welfare goals. Our clients and partners value our real-world practicality, hardworking thoroughness and thoughtfully tailored solutions. More than 2,000 affordable housing professionals attend Quadel trainings, certifications and custom courses every year. Our proprietary web-based quality and performance management system, QualCheck, has proven an effective tool providing consistent, reliable and objective quality-control monitoring and reporting for HCV and public housing programs. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., Quadel's 150 employees work from offices in Maryland, Indiana, North Carolina and Tennessee. All of our senior management staff members have served as housing managers at the local level. Our goal is to be a true partner to our clients—not just an outside advisor. Our engaged, “on the ground” approach allows us to align our services with every client need. We firmly believe that government and communities have an important role in solving the housing needs of low-income families and special populations. Our mission is to join dedicated public and nonprofit organizations in making housing programs achieve their full potential—because everyone deserves a safe and affordable place to call home.

At Quadel, our employees live out their passions not just in their work but in their personal lives too. This fall, we are asking our team to share some of their favorite autumn activities. Here’s what Quadel Director Penny VanderWall had to say: “While mountain biking this fall in Colorado, my daughter and I came across this old abandoned mine. We did not go in; however, it was pretty cool to imagine the men and women 150 years ago working the mine in the snow and cold!”

Rising insurance costs are presenting many #AffordableHousing agencies with an existential crisis, forcing them to choose between paying premiums and keeping staff. One way the Community Opportunity Alliance has responded is to “bring local voices forward,” sharing the real-world impacts before a wider audience. Quadel President | affordable housing compliance, training, and management | I believe in affordable housing as a life stabilizing moment | Makes me a podcast champion and policy cheerleader
It's official! 🏆🌟 We are a national best practice Merit Award winner. Again! The task at hand was opening the Phoenix wait list and accepting nearly 40,000 applications. The best practices were: 🔹six months of advance planning 🔹strong community partnerships to ensure accessibility 🔹extended hours with multi-language support 🔹Phoenix city leaders embracing and advocating for affordable housing 🔹triple layered staffing to handle the surge and eliminate wait times I was there on the front line for several days witnessing everyone giving their all with sleeves rolled up. There was such a powerful energy—an unmistakable sense of hope for the applicants. Everyone knew that for some, this was the life-changing moment they had been waiting for. A chance for stability, a secure home. And that’s why we do the hard work! 🌟🏠 A special recognition to the City of Phoenix's leadership team and the Quadel partnership - Titus Mathew, Elenia Sotelo, Penny VanderWall, Andre Serrette, Shana Morgan, Chelsea Comfort, Marina Lopez, Margaret Finn, Stephanie Hatfield, Amy McDaniel, Keith Quinn, Julia Bailey. #QuadelChangeMaker #Section8VouchersWork #AffordableHousing #NAHRO

At Costco, famous for its big bulk items, you can find a 60-pound bucket of honey, an almost-8-foot teddy bear and, at this California outlet, some 800 new apartment units, almost a quarter for low-income households. https://lnkd.in/gP72garb
