Historically, it was believed that only patients with SCI above T6 were at risk, however, recent research has shown those with injury at T10 and above have reported symptoms. Many incidents of AD occur within the first three months following spinal cord injury and approximately 17% of patients with SCI have at least one episode of AD in their lifetime. For healthcare professionals managing patients with spinal cord injuries, proactive bowel care is essential in reducing the risk of Autonomic Dysreflexia (AD). Read our latest article for common triggers, symptoms and effective prevention strategies. #AutonomicDysreflexia #SCI #BowelCare #ConstipationRelief #Enemeez #SkinIntegrity #HealthcareProfessionals
