At Quincy Recycle, we work with businesses and manufacturers to divert recyclable Post-Industrial plastics from landfills and maximize the value of their plastic loads. Not all plastics are equally valuable to recycle: different types have fluctuating market prices and uses. Each year, our customer service team gets together for a Learning & Development and team-building event. This year's gathering took place in Quincy, IL, bringing together over 40 team members from across five Midwestern states, representing both Quincy Recycle and Quincy Farm Products. The three-day event was filled with engaging presentations from various departments across our organization, a celebration of Quincy Recycle's 50 years of success and Quincy Farm Products' 10-year milestone, a lively LEGO-building challenge where each table had to build one of our Core Values, and a presentation on Change from Payne Schoen, CPA. The team also enjoyed fun games(note the costumes!), delicious food, and refreshments at Cedar Crest Country Club. Special shout out to the creative bunch who built a gym out of their Legos, representing Alive & Well! Seeing all of our Core Values represented, strong collaboration, and energy among our team members was truly inspiring. #learningandevelopment #teambuilding

Today we celebrated our 2024 Intern, Allison Mueller. Allison is headed back to John Wood Community College to complete her Agribusiness degree with a focus on accounting. She stays very busy during the school year, serving as an Ag Ambassador for the JWCC Ag Center, participating in the Ag Club, as well as being part of the officer team for JWCC PTK and the JWCC Student Government Association ....and that's not all! She also works part-time! We are so glad Allison chose to spend her free time with us to learn all things QFP. Best wishes, Allison! 🎉Yesterday, we enjoyed celebrating National Intern Day with our most recent intern, Mitchell Murphy! As he wraps up his final week with us, we couldn’t think of a better way to show our appreciation than with a catered lunch from Tiramisu and of course, cake! Mitchell has been a rockstar, playing a crucial role in helping our Quincy Support Center team launch our EHS Management software, KPA.
