Wrapping up our #WomenofRadiance spotlight series in honor of Women's History Month is Director of Operations, Karen White! When asked what she enjoys most about her job, Karen said, "I enjoy proposal development and mentoring others on proposal writing and management. I get a lot of satisfaction out of seeing someone grow in their writing skills after working with them on proposals. And there’s nothing better than getting a WIN after the team has put in a lot of effort and long hours into a proposal." Her advice to young women pursuing a career in her field? Our employee-owners from Dayton and Huntsville participated in a learning day for Illuminate, Radiance University's cohort-based program for seasoned leaders. Through a combination of internal and external instruction, they explored the skills, workplace values, and strategic applications necessary for transitioning from leading individuals to leading managers. Whereas our Spark program is aimed at developing emerging leaders, Illuminate is designed to support those already in a managerial role, offering separate cohorts for both “people” leaders and “technical” leaders. We’re proud to invest in the continued development of our employee-owners and look forward to seeing their impact across Radiance!
