Rank the Vote is empowering people, state by state, to repair broken government through better elections.
About us
Ranked choice voting empowers voters to support the fresh visions of new and less-well-funded candidates—without scuttling their chosen party’s victory. Ensuring that consensus wins is also the most achievable way to unravel entrenched partisanship, and incentivize cooperation.

The #RankedChoiceVoting Act would bring #RCV to Congressional elections! Last month, Congressman Jamie Raskin (MD-08) and Congressman Don Beyer (VA-08) renewed their efforts to bring ranked choice voting to U.S. congressional elections, reintroducing their Ranked Choice Voting Act. Office of U.S. Senator Peter Welch (D-VT) introduced companion legislation in the Senate. The #RCVAct would: ✅ Require the use of RCV for all U.S. Congressional primary and general elections starting in 2028 ✅ Eliminate the use of runoff elections in the 10 states that currently use them for U.S. Congressional elections ✅ Make payments to states for the implementation of RCV such as updating voting machines and software Take action to support the #RCVAct 👉 https://lnkd.in/eQg9uFJ4

Big congrats to BallotReady and Movement Labs on their work to important work bring this problem to light and address it! We absolutely need to turbocharge #MoreChoice for voters, and more competition for politicians to deliver for said voters, and yes that even means working with the "other side" once elected... Reforms like #RankedChoiceVoting, #NonpartisanPrimaries, #IndependentRedistrictingCommittees and ultimately, #ProportionalRepresentation will put wind in the sails of the bold citizens that want to truly serve the public by challenging an incumbent in their own party, forming innovative new parties, or running for office as an independent. Even when elections today are "contested", it's usually happening in a lopsided one-party-dominated, winner-take-all district. And despite the fiery language and toxic rhetoric, the pitch ultimately boils down to, "You have to vote for me because I'm not as terrible as the other person." America was not intended to be a federation of one-party fiefdoms. Join Rank the Vote today: https://lnkd.in/gn9aaUDi
Thank you to The New York Times and our partners at Movement Labs and The Pipeline Fund for bringing our research on uncontested races to the light. Voters deserve choices at the ballot box at all levels of government, and we are working to give that to them ⚡ Head to BallotReady.org to learn more about the lack of candidates running for office across the country– and then join our effort to close the gap. https://lnkd.in/gHmxAG8T

Represent Women are proud to be a signatory on the Women's Resource Centre statement on the recent violence we have seen in our country. Read the full statement on their website. 'Black and minoritised women suffer disproportionately from the actions of both government and organised acts of racist violence. Again and again, the voices and experiences of women and girls are quickly sidelined and men become the focus. So, we call upon the Home Secretary and the Prime Minister to hold an urgent roundtable with women from across the UK, with Black and minoritised women’s community organisations in particular - rather than (usually male) ‘community leaders’ - to help address this situation. We refute claims that any of these actions are a result of caring about the safety of women and girls. Women and girls’ safety is not achieved nor promoted by racist violence. Together, we denounce it. We stand together in our resistance and solidarity; We stand together as women across all our communities. We stand together and say, ‘not in our name.’ https://lnkd.in/eqkysxMt
