Dynamic tasks enable the creation of adaptive CI pipelines that can respond to factors like commit contents or data from external sources. This capability unlocks numerous possibilities for building highly performant CI pipelines. https://lnkd.in/eX7mSU6u

When multiple commits are merged in rapid succession, rather than creating a backlog of deployments, a reasonable solution is to skip deploying the earlier commits and only deploy the most recent one. https://lnkd.in/eu84f7qt

There’s a commonly used format for serializing map data structures from shell scripts, but we came up with a different approach when building Mint. In general with Mint, we strive to make the more common use case simpler and more secure, and then develop other solutions for less common use cases. https://lnkd.in/eDSHNUTn

As a best practice, engineering teams should ensure that the same version of tools and runtimes are used across all environments. The best way to enforce version consistency is checking for it explicitly in a CI pipeline. https://lnkd.in/e7wWaY8k

For both security and reliability, package managers should be designed to always lock packages to a specific version. They should also provide an easy way to upgrade packages to the latest version. https://lnkd.in/exmP6iyC

Traditional CI/CD platforms are designed to run when developers push commits or update their pull requests. It's a terrible developer experience when implementing new workflows, but it doesn't have to be this way. https://lnkd.in/epXe9QXc

Mint defines CI/CD workflows as a directed acyclic graph (DAG) of tasks, rather than as scripts on VMs. This difference is the key to Mint’s unmatched performance and developer experience.

Root Inc.'s Co-Founder and a former colleague have launched their next venture, RWX, with a $7 million Seed Round. RWX was founded by Tommy Graves and Dan Manges, who was the CTO of Root, a technology-powered car insurance carrier, which he co-founded in 2015 and took public in 2020 via an IPO. Graves was a senior engineering manager at Root. The company says it is building a paradigm-shifting platform at a time when AI is beginning to write code. https://lnkd.in/d77btJiD
