We've been selected! Today, @U.S. Department of Energy (OOE)'s @DOE Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations selected REAL ALLOY to be part of the single largest industrial decarbonization effort in U.S. history. Our project will help decarbonize the aluminum recycling sector, including at our operations in Wabash, Indiana.   "We are very proud and excited to be selected by the Department of Energy to bring this game changing technology to reality in the U.S.,” said Terry Hogan, President, and CEO of REAL ALLOY. “Salt slag recycling closes the loop by allowing all products generated from the recycling of aluminum scrap and dross to be reused. It aligns perfectly with our sustainability strategy of eliminating waste and reducing carbon emissions. We look forward to partnering with the team at the Department of Energy to commercialize this process.”   Together, with our 33 fellow selectees, we will: Transform the industrial sector with new emissions-slashing technologies. Strengthen American manufacturing competitiveness. Create and maintain good-paying jobs.

    Metals Trader at Real Alloy

Tonight the Sparks learned about what happens when you recycle your metal at a scrap yard and how Aluminum is recycled. Thanks to Scrap University Kids & Jessica Alexanderson for creating such great resources, Patrick Huff for putting “A Recycling Adventure to The Scrapyard” in my hands and to all my coworkers who let me showcase their furnace room talents in the multimedia presentation they saw of what we do at Real Alloy. #scraplife #metalrecyclesforever
