Our submission to the Curriculum and Assessment Review focuses on four key areas: diversity and inclusion, equity of access and opportunities, broadening pathways and qualifications, and rethinking the accountability framework. These areas are crucial to ensuring that all learners, regardless of background or circumstances, are able to thrive in school and beyond. As the education landscape continues to evolve, it is crucial that we work towards creating a more inclusive and equitable curriculum. To read more about our CAR submission: https://lnkd.in/evbS4_cG

Congratulations to all Sixth Form students receiving their Level 3 results. Young Londoners have achieved fantastic results and deserve recognition for their hard work, commitment and resilience. This Year 13 cohort were in the early years of secondary school at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. Their lives were affected profoundly, in ways that we do not yet fully understand. Well done to all of them. They deserve our respect and support as they move onto the next chapter.

In February 2023, Reconnect London submitted evidence to the Education Select Committee’s enquiry into persistent absence and support for disadvantaged pupils. One and a half years later, as we await the election of a new government, attendance remains a key challenge for schools and policymakers. Our Attendance Summit brings together schools leaders and partners, to share good practice as we work together to create a more equitable, inclusive and joined up education system. We are delighted to be welcoming to the conference key partners including London's Violence Reduction Unit, UNICEF, FFT Education Datalab, THE ANNA FREUD CENTRE, ImpactEd Group and Children and Young People's Mental Health Coalition (CYPMHC).
