October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month!
As we celebrate this important month, I’m proud to stand alongside Accessible Me Ltd in highlighting the contributions of workers with disabilities and the vital need for more accessible employment practices.
This year’s theme is #AccessToGoodJobsForAll, a call to action for all of us to ensure everyone has equal opportunities in the workplace. Whether it's through showcasing talent, providing proper training, or making simple yet meaningful adjustments, we can all play a part in creating inclusive environments where everyone thrives.
What can you do?
1️⃣ Celebrate disabled talent – Recognise the amazing contributions of disabled team members and raise awareness.
2️⃣ Invest in training – Inclusion isn’t optional! Ensure your team understands disability etiquette and best practices.
3️⃣ Inspire change – Share facts, success stories, and lessons learnt to encourage others to prioritise accessibility.
4️⃣ Meet your legal obligations – Go beyond what’s required by law, and review your recruitment processes to ensure inclusivity from the start.
As we continue to work towards a world where #InclusionMatters and #AccessibilityMatters, I encourage you to get involved and make a difference. 💼💡
If you’re not sure where to start, Accessible Me Ltd is always here to help – whether through a disability assessment, training, or guidance on inclusive hiring.
Let's use this month to drive progress and make workplaces more accessible for everyone! 🙌

This year’s theme is #AccessToGoodJobsForAll
What can you do?
1. Showcase disabled talent: Raise awareness and celebrate their contribution this month
2. Bring in the experts and get your employees up to speed with their inclusion training, so everyone understands etiquette around disability
3. Inspire others to prioritise accessibility by sharing facts, figures, success stories and lessons learnt
4. Understand your legal obligations: We’d always encourage you to go above and beyond your legal obligations, but it's always worth checking in to make sure you’re making the reasonable adjustments required by law
The best way to improve accessibility in your workplace is to increase your understanding of disability, its prevalence, and its complexity. The more you know about the lived experience of those that are different to you, the more innovative you can be in your efforts to include them.
