Doing some late night catch-up 🌙🕯️ and have received an inordinate amount of "I'm happy where I'm at responses" and... I get it, but also, I don't. 🤔 The phrase "I'm happy where I'm at" often resonates as confidence and stability—but in today's unpredictable job market, it can sometimes carry hidden risks. I've witnessed talented professionals turn down opportunities because they felt secure, only to face unexpected layoffs a month or two later. By the time they're ready to explore, the opportunity is gone, and the door to what could have been an amazing job, is closed🚪. Here's my takeaway: entertaining a conversation about a new opportunity doesn't mean you're uncommitted to your current role—it means you're proactively managing your career💡. You might not be looking now, but you never know what the future holds. Staying open ensures you're prepared for change, whether it’s planned or unexpected.
